MESSAGE Dear students, staff, Principals and I/C Principals of all KVs of Kolkata Region, As the new dawn of this day heralds the beginning of a brand new academic session 2024-25, I would like to congratulate all of you for everything you have done and achieved during the last academic session 2023-24. The last couple of years have been very challenging for all of us, especially for teachers and educators dealing with educating and guiding young learners. But all of you, with your concerted efforts and dedication, have been able to shape the young minds of the students in a very positive way, often holding their hands virtually to achieve desired goals. All of you definitely need to be congratulated. Students adopted very fast to the changing times brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, while teachers and principals burnt the midnight oil to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the students by adopting to technology as fast as they could. We pushed our self-set boundaries and took seamlessly to virtual meetings, virtual classroom inspections, virtual co-curricular activities and much more. As we look back down the memory lane, we all should feel proud of all that we have achieved during the most challenging times that this era has seen. But let us not rest on our laurels. As Jonas Salk says, “The reward for a work well done is the opportunity to do more”, let us not forget that the ensuing academic session 2024-25 will again pose different challenges as we shift back to our pre-pandemic days and move into our classrooms for teaching-learning. Students need to be slowly allowed to readjust to these changing times through love, compassion and care. Let us understand that this academic session will probably be more challenging for all of us. I am very sure that, with your dedication and passion, all of you can contribute in more positive ways and help the young learners adapt seamless to the changing times. With faith and conviction that together we can, and we will, positively contribute to the great task of Nation Building. Wishing you all the best for the Academic Session 2024-25.

From the desk of Principal....... I am overwhelmed to pen down my words for the school magazine. It’s my maiden message for KV Bandel, the school which is in its budding state. During my stewardship of this school I have learnt that this school is going to setup milestones in near future with its good students, teachers and supportive parents. Dear student, excellence is the only way to achieve success in any field. Student life is the high time for getting oneself tuned up for the habits which will lead towards the path of excellence. Be healthy, think healthy and do the right things in right time. Always involve yourself in the acts which are going to bring laurels to our country. The aim of KV is to produce a good citizen rather than producing a good professional, so strive hard to be a worthy citizen of this country. Each issue of school magazine is a milestone that marks our growth, unfolds our imaginations, and gives life to our thoughts and aspirations. It unleashes a wide spectrum of creative skills ranging from writing to editing and even in designing the magazine. I congratulate the students, parents & entire editorial team for their hard work and dedication in making this dream come true. I also extend my gratification to the Chairman, VMC Mr.Sanjeeb Kumar, DRM Eastern Railway, Howrah Nominee Chairman, VMC Dr. A Sengupta, ACMS/BDC & other members of VMC. I will fail in my duty if I don’t express my heartfelt thanks to Hon’ble Shri Y.Arun Kumar, DC, KVS, RO, Kolkata, Sri Sanjib Sinha, AC, KVS, RO, Kolkata, Shri Chintapalli Vijaya Ratnam, AC, KVS, RO, Kolkata ,Shri Dibakara Bhoi, AC , KVS, RO, Kolkata & Shri Amit Baidya for their support and guidance. I take this opportunity to request you all to be a part of “Swachh Bharat Mission”. Please maintain cleanliness, let cleanliness be a part of our habit.
